At GSC we are experienced and passionate consultants for Arts management.
We offer software solutions for venue administration. Our team is made up of technical advisors, customer service specialists, trainers, and software developers.
Just as importantly, we’re the kind of people who walk into theatres and feel awe, who get goosebumps, and who always want to see backstage. GSC is all about supporting the cultural sector to be spectacular.
What we do…
We offer consultation on the management of Performing Arts venues and culture houses. We are the regional distributor for 3 Arts-focused products (Artifax for venue management, StaffSavvy for rostering, and VisitOne for digital tickets) and also produce our own suite of plug-ins.
We work with clients from regional galleries to CBD precincts, in green rooms and exhibition halls, managing grand pianos and their tuners, mechanists, bookers, docents, conductors, caterers and ushers. Our software offerings work hard and smart behind the scenes, to ensure the show goes on.
Taking our cues from complex sector needs, we have built our reputation on curating services and support to solve each venue’s unique management challenges. We program our products to purpose, from concept to delivery.

Our Ethos
1. A passion for the industry.
We didn’t end up here by accident. When living in London, our founder and Managing Director Jon Oakes worked in famed British cultural institutions like the Southbank Centre. The gravitas and significance of these places certainly left their mark on him.
When Jon moved to Australia in 2003, he brought his love of the Arts across the world with him (along with his very British sense of humour). Naturally as the team grew, the Arts have been a passion shared.
2. A focus on people.
We function with a people-first mentality, for both our clients and for our staff. This means that even though we deal in software, we know that it’s really the people using it who take its functionality to new (fly-towering) heights.
A key aim is empowering users to get the best out of their systems, which is why our customer service is something we take great pride in and why we hold regular events like our community meetings and deep dives.
3. An ethical approach to business.
Like the industry we support, at GSC it’s about values and service, just as much as business.
One area of particular importance to us is environmental sustainability. Our office has been carbon neutral since 2009 and our company cars are electric. It’s not a box to tick for us, it’s built in to how we do business. Functioning from beautiful Yuin country in Far South Coast New South Wales, we have a real appreciation for the natural world around us.
